Account Executive – Energy & Utility Solutions

Job Overview
Ginkgo-AI is seeking experienced Account Executives to drive business development and technical sales for our cutting-edge AI and IT solutions. This role is ideal for highly motivated professionals with a strong background in enterprise technology sales, artificial intelligence, and business development.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in selling complex IT solutions to enterprise clients, preferably in the energy, utility, and renewable resources sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to acquire new energy and utility clients and expand existing accounts.
- Identify and qualify sales opportunities, build relationships, and lead the end-to-end sales cycle.
- Present and demonstrate Ginkgo-AI’s RAG-based AI solutions, cloud-based deployments, and integration services to prospective customers.
- Conduct market research to identify potential customer pain points and position Ginkgo-AI’s solutions effectively.
- Work closely with technical teams, engineers, and product managers to tailor solutions to client needs.
- Develop strong relationships with energy executives, regulatory compliance officers, infrastructure managers, and industry stakeholders.
- Manage contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and closing strategies to meet or exceed sales quotas.
- Represent Ginkgo-AI at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
- Maintain an up-to-date CRM with accurate sales forecasts and pipeline management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Energy Management, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited university.
- Minimum 10 years of direct business development and technical sales experience in IT, AI, SaaS, or enterprise software solutions.
- Strong understanding of AI technologies, cloud solutions, and enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to close complex deals and manage long sales cycles.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
- Experience working with energy companies, utility providers, or renewable energy firms is a plus.
- Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree (MBA, Energy Management, or a related field) is a plus.
- Knowledge of energy regulations, grid modernization, or sustainability initiatives is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and sales automation platforms.
- Understanding of AI-driven Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems and data integration services.
