Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Associate Data Scientist to assist in the development and optimization of AI-driven data models. This role is ideal for early-career professionals with a strong foundation in data science, machine learning, and AI, who want to grow in the field of NLP, large language models (LLMs), and data analytics.
The Associate Data Scientist will collaborate with senior data scientists, AI engineers, and software developers to enhance our platform’s capabilities through data modeling, feature engineering, and AI research.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, training, and evaluation of machine learning models, particularly for NLP, LLMs, and retrieval-based AI.
- Conduct data preprocessing, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis (EDA).
- Work with vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate) and embeddings to optimize search and retrieval functions.
- Support AI model performance tuning and evaluation using industry-standard metrics.
- Collaborate with engineers and developers to integrate AI models into enterprise applications.
- Assist in data pipeline development, ETL processes, and real-time data processing workflows.
- Develop visualizations and reports to communicate model performance and insights.
- Stay updated on advancements in machine learning, deep learning, and AI infrastructure.
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- 1-3 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or AI-related roles.
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, or another data science language.
- Familiarity with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Knowledge of NLP techniques, transformers, embeddings, and LLM applications.
- Experience working with structured and unstructured data.
- Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases for data management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with vector databases and knowledge graph implementations.
- Familiarity with cloud-based AI deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of big data processing frameworks (Spark, Dask, Hadoop).
- Prior exposure to Medicaid, Medicare, or healthcare data science applications.
