Job Summary
We are seeking a Lead AI Developer to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications within our RAG-based AI ecosystem. This role requires deep technical expertise in AI/ML, LLMs, and NLP, as well as strong leadership to guide development teams in building and optimizing AI-driven software solutions.
The Lead AI Developer will work closely with technical leaders, data scientists, and software engineers to develop scalable, high-performance AI systems that integrate with enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, fine-tune, and deploy AI models, particularly LLMs, RAG architectures, and NLP pipelines.
- Implement vector-based search, knowledge graph integration, and document retrieval optimizations.
- Optimize AI model performance by improving inference speeds, accuracy, and resource efficiency.
- Design and build APIs and microservices for integrating AI functionalities into enterprise systems.
- Work with cloud and on-prem infrastructures to deploy and manage AI models at scale.
- Collaborate with AI researchers, data engineers, and DevOps teams to improve model training, evaluation, and deployment pipelines.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Python, Java, or other AI-focused languages.
- Contribute to MLOps strategies, including CI/CD for AI models, automated testing, and version control.
- Ensure data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, SOC 2, etc.).
- Participate in code reviews, technical mentorship, and knowledge sharing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
- 5+ years of experience in AI/ML development and software engineering.
- Strong background in LLMs, NLP, deep learning, and machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face).
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or another AI-related programming language.
- Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate, or similar) and knowledge graph integration.
- Expertise in cloud-based AI deployment (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Hands-on experience developing scalable, high-performance AI solutions.
- Knowledge of MLOps best practices for managing AI model lifecycle.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in AI, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Experience in Medicaid, Medicare, or other healthcare AI applications.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for AI systems.
- Experience working with distributed AI architectures and high-performance computing.
